No other airlines seem to do mini pizzas!

Delta used to, at least they did on the London-Atlanta route. Haven;t flown it for a while though so not sure if they still do.

those mini pizzas are the best economy food I've had...we haven't had them the last few flights...I want our pizzas back! :)
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

You may joke but that very thing has been talked about on Flyer Talk. I too miss the mini pizza
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

From experience, We will be having a fairly stonking meal before flying on our AA flight - last time we flew with them, we were starving hungry by the time we landed, as their complimentary meal was served so soon after taking off

it's funny because we always feel overfed on AA flights...maybe time of the day...but between the meal, the little snack thingy you get with the various biscuits and cheese, etc...the snack or breakfast before landing...we've never felt we have gone hungry...may depend on how long a flight of course. And they actually manage to serve drinks with the meal...unlike some others *coughvirgincough* who seem to finally get drinks around when you're more or less done with your meal. Maybe I'm weird, but I like to have some liquid with my food. :)
