Orange PAYG On Line Top Up Problems

Apologies if this has been asked before, I've had a scan through previous threads and couldn't find anything.

For some time now I've been concerned with the on-line top up process with Orange. Quite frequently I get a message that there has been a problem processing the top up payment and so I've either topped up using the phone or cashpoint, later becoming suspicious that Orange have still taken the "declined" payment.

Last week I tried to top my daughter's phone up by £5 and received the same message that there had been a problem processing the payment. I have deliberately not tried again, or topped up any other phone we have, and today discovered that the £5 payment had been processed by my bank (Lloyds TSB) but that the mobile account has not been topped up.

I have tried Customer Services without any luck, they have referred me back to my bank. Whilst I can identify the latest discrepancy, I suspect that this has happened many times before but I cannot identify each occurence.

Is anyone else having a similar problem?

There seem to be major problems with the whole Orange website at the moment. Anything connected with accounts is going wrong. I tried to setup a new acc a week or so back, it happily sent the security text to the phone, but when I tried to use the site told me that, that section wasn't working! So why send the text in the first place !!

I'd give it a wide berth for a while, at the rate Orange are 'letting staff go' it maybe the cleaning staff that are running the website now. . .
