Offsetting PPI Tax Liability

Can the cost of employing a claim handling company be used to offset all or part of the tax liability of a sucessful PPI claim? For instance the cost of a claim company of 25% is just slightly more than the taxable portion of the claim. The acutal tax liability is significantly less.

I very much doubt it, for one thing it's not a necessary expense.
