Well done on debt freedom 166

Well done Jacci on staying off the ciggys :T

My total at the moment is

    #2 £3,052/£7,500

whilst deciding what to do about overpayments on my loan - my car needed some repairs and my horses annual insurance fell due. The insurance is 17.9% to pay off monthly so I have put on my credit card :o (which has a much lower interest rate) and have started overpaying that - half this month - half next month.

I also made £15 on Sw*gbucks on amazon vounchers towards my kindle which I am really happy with but just feeling so tired today and cant be bothered with the MSE side of things - in fact I just bought a choccie from the canteen :o

Have a fab weekend everyone :D

I have an unexpected free day today; I took it off work to go and see a friend and her new baby bt the baby isn't well so it's been cancelled... what shall I do with myself?! Was tempted to go into London and mooch but I know that I'll only spend money or eat stuff I shouldn't so I'm staying put instead. Might attempt some painting (creative stuff) which I never do any more since having DS. Or might just curl up in bed with a book! Anyway. the point being that I'm not spending money I'll regret. Good girl.

    Well done everyone, great stuff :T :T :T :T :T :T

    February - £35,072.96, Euro 400

    Running total: £85,030.08, Euro 600

Great totals everyone, well done! Jwil, out of curiosity, how do these figures compare to 2011?

Can I also check in with updated figures having received my march statements? I've paid off £120 so far this month.

    No 103. £1137/£3566

And finally, I realise this must be a lot of work for you to keep updating everyone's figures. Do you mind how frequently we post updates, or would you prefer us to hold back and lump them together a bit more to save you some work?

As far as I remember this is lower than last year - but then we have a 'rival' thread going in the forum called 'pay off all your debt in 2012', so lots of people have joined that one instead. What would be interesting though is to know the percentage of debt paid off compared to this time last year. Last year (and every year the challenge has been going, really) quite a lot of people signed up enthusiastically and then never came back, so our overall pledged loss was much higher than our final loss.

Personally I love this thread because up until this year it would have been depressing to sign up to a 'pay all your debt offf' thread as I would have had no chance. THis year, yes!
