After my dd has gone out and a small over payment to round up / down my new balance is :#2 £8,515 / £10,000
the loan is slowly but surely going down. I am hoping next year to knock it on the head completely. I was just looking at my spreadsheet and in Jan 12 my interest was £249 and this last time is was £149. £100 less interest per month from overpaying
