Another £285 paid off this month.
Bringing my total cleared to £855.
I cannot wait till next month and I break over the £1000 mark. It feels like I am getting somewhere now, this thread really helps as it makes you really look how much money you would have if you wern't paying off debts!
Thanks
Well done Marvin, I find the same as well - seeing how much I am paying makes me more motivated to clear it.Sadly I can only pay marginally over my minimum payments this month, so just £40 off my debts leaving me at:

Every overpayment counts Twiggy, so well donemillionaire_in_training wrote: »£47.50 today so that's £2,564.39/£10,000

I've been burden with debt since i turned 18 and got my first credit card - am now on the brink of 28 and have had no life for the last 8 years. All I've been doing is making minimum payments and its got to a stage where all my cards are in arrangements or with debt collectors.
Oh and I can't get any credit ever again due to defaults!!
I've been working 7 days since 2010 and started pay off debt now that some are interest free:
October 2011: total debt - £25430
April 2012: total debt - £19950
I make payments of £768 a month and the 'rest' I live off
Any ideas how to get the debt down or pay off quicker?
Thanks

Are you on a DMP? If so the interest should have been stopped on everything that is included. If you're not, contact CCCS or National Debtline.
