Hi DSmiffy - i am sure jwil be along soon to welcome you and add you to the challenge
Post as often as you like - some people post just once a month others every time they make a payment as it is very motivational to see the amount paid towards the amount owed
Sometimes people post what they've paid along with how they managed it - such as eb*y funds, wages, second job etc.
We all post our totals like this 0/2000 so it stands out for jwil - oh and we also try and remember to post near the end of the month if we don't post every time we make a payment. That way our figures get added onto that months total - not to worry if you miss it though but its good to see what we've paid collectivelyCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
I've added what I'd saved up myself to what I inherited from my Gran and have today managed to pay £20k off my mortgage.
My total so far this year is now £20k exactly.
Well done shazbot, I'm sure your Gran would be very pleased.
is it just me or does anyone else get a mad moment where they get an overwhelming urge to use up their agreed overdraft to make a whacking great payment to a credit card?
for me it would be a totally stupid idea cos my CCs are all 0% at the moment!!
Yes, I do, it's always tempting to have fewer debts.Hi All
I am officially now bank loan free! WOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! :j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j
Paid the last £36.07 last week, 4 years I was paying that loan for! Sooooooooooooo happy it's gone! YAY!:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
HOWEVER, I have racked up my credit card, so please Jwil can I change my target to £5194.92. There will be interest going on to this but I will list that seperately. I have adjusted the amount for my smaller last loan payment (thought it was going to be £189.91 higher so well chuffed!) but adjusted again for the CC's!
Well done that's great :j:T :T I'll update your target too"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
