another rounding down payment for me so that's £8,90 off Virgin bringing my new total to £136.22/£2117 all this is on top of the min payments, but I haven't been counting those! I may start counting them when I start overpaying with a vengeance

Hi - Number 27 calling in £6,523/£20,000 (end of March figures)

Hi everyone, sorry I did not up date at the end of March as I was away.

I am still plodding away at this and continuing to overpay each month (my figures include reducing the overall debt which includes the normal and overpayment as it works for me). I cannot belive I have been at this debt busting lark for over three years now thanks to Martins site.

Still not putting anything towards the saving challenge yet, but I have set up a DD now into ISA's for me and OH from 1st May. I thought long and hard about throwing this money towards the mortgage/car loan debt, but we need to build up tax free savings pots for each of us as we hope to finish work early in 61 months (thats another new challenge starting next month!) and the debts will be paid off within another three years if we just maintain the current monthly payments.

Anyway - hope you are all having a happy easter

    Afternoon All

couple of regular payments made over the past week

    £25 paid to Captain V on 2/4
£100 paid to NankBest on 7/4

£125 for April thus far and

    1,602.40/4,000 running total

    :)

is it just me or does anyone else get a mad moment where they get an overwhelming urge to use up their agreed overdraft to make a whacking great payment to a credit card?

for me it would be a totally stupid idea cos my CCs are all 0% at the moment!!

but I still sometimes feel like it.........

note to self: step away from the overdraft facility!!

    Hi All

I am officially now bank loan free! WOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! :j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j
Paid the last £36.07 last week, 4 years I was paying that loan for! Sooooooooooooo happy it's gone! YAY! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

HOWEVER, I have racked up my credit card, so please Jwil can I change my target to £5194.92. There will be interest going on to this but I will list that seperately. I have adjusted the amount for my smaller last loan payment (thought it was going to be £189.91 higher so well chuffed! :D) but adjusted again for the CC's!

Today I have decided to cut myself off of the cards and use for emergencies only! Anything else is tough. EG, I am going to a cake show end of the month, the weekend before payday, so I will take what I have to spend and if I want anything else it's just tough! A lesson learned for me! I have to cut myself off at some point or I could always move back the cut off mark!

So, with my final loan payment and £10 I got from mystery shopping (which should have gone in to March, sorry Jwil!) my balance is:

    £938.01/£5194.92 18% paid

Have a good day everyone. CL
    £9,000 (Ish) in 2013
    Paid:
    £32.20 / £4492.66 Debt
    £50.00 / £650.00 Holiday
    £00.00 / £4000.00 House
  • Hi been missing for a bit my new updated figure that i have paid off is 320.43. I have joined the extra payment every week thread to help boost my figures for the year.
