Freecycle - someone might want logs
Your council tip might take them if you can get them there

Most LA's now offer green waste collections.

If you can cut them into sizeable chunks to get into a car, your local recycling centre/tip will take them.

I've just done this with an ash tree we had taken down.

I'll second the freecycle option. A few years ago someone near me was in exactly the same position, advertising a load of branches to get rid of, I was well chuffed to get hold of a load of free firewood :-)
  • Definitely Freecycle at this time of year as even small branches many will want for kindling and store away the larger branches, for next year's firewood. just note what sort of wood it is and I am sure it will be collected within a day or so for free!

Another vote for freecycle...someone will be chuffed with free fuel for their fire!
