My OH worked in Edinburgh for 13 years, now works in Bathgate.

If I had a son I wouldn't want him to work as a doorman - some right dodgy characters you have to deal with on a Friday and Saturday nights!
I know most door staff are more than capable of taking care of themselves but I was in a certain Edinburgh establishment one night when someone who had been refused entry earlier for being too drunk and aggressive returned with his mates and the doorman got really badly beaten up by these idiots and then the thugs ran away before the police arrived....
