The £50 Amazon Gift Card I had the email to say I'd won a week or 2 ago from a survey/forum site arrived today
I wasn't expecting it till the end of the month or start of Jan so this was a lovely surprise
There are a few DVDs and CDs that OH wants for Christmas, although I think I've already got enough vouchers for what he wants so this will be a nice little addition to the 'Christmas/Moving House/Having a new baby Fund' lol!
Paid in a £28 Cheque from a sort-of Mystery-Shop that I was sent last month, and managed to lose. Found it at the weekend, so glad that's finally paid in and sorted. I think I added that to last month when I received it though. Will double check back on my older posts, and if not then I'll add it this month!
Also had an email from a Survey/Sort-Of-Mystery-Shopping company to say they'd sent me £5 to Paypal for using my address for a project. Had forgotten all about it, so that was a nice surprise as well today.
Couple more little Ebay sales, but will work out profits tomorrow. Or one day anyway!!Half of November Make £10 a Day Challenge: £51/ £1700 -

Another Ebay rant  -Sorry, but need to moan!!
Basically sold some leather knee high boots as new with defects (a couple of tiny scratches on the heel) that I bought last year and did not wear as the heel was a little high for me. Sold for £16 and knew I had a nightmare buyer as 2 days after the sale she got in touch asking where her boots were (bearing in mind it was a standard parcel delivery) - something about the tone of the message made me think here we go..... !
Knowing behold she has got in touch today complaining that the boots are obviously 2 different colours (??) asking for a return as she clearly could not possibly wear them in that state. Now I am particularly fussy about describing my items properly and I had taken and listed 9 different pictures of the boots in all orientations and no way had I noticed an issue.
I have contacted her advising her to return the boots for a refund as I know I stand no chance with paypal. What goads me is that I loose £6 in postage as will have to refund her postage payment. I will check the boots when I get them back and if OK she can whistle dixie for a refund on her return postage (which would leave me £12 in total out of pocket). If I have made an error - then fair enough I will refund the return postage, but I really don't think I have. Will probably result in my first ever negative rating - but do you know what I simply do not care!!!
I know buyer protection is really important, but I just feel like as a buyer you can "try before you buy" on whatever you want and if you don't like it you can shout not as described or fake and get all your money back leaving the poor genuine seller out of pocket. Grrrrrrrr!!!!!
Rant over!! And breathe................
***Edit to add: Happy Birthday Lolly!!! *** ....((...breaks into tuneful rendition of Happy Birthday to you...!!!!))
Thanks BlueCow!Awful buyers like that really put you off eBay, I used to love that site but after so many experiences like that I really can't bear it, lol!
Well, I'm turning out to be an awful seller!!! () Sold a book on Amazon - only put it on last night - and now I can't find it. I only saw it a few days ago, spent ages looking for it - I'm going to have another quick scout around tomorrow but think I may have to refund them
.
Damn my Clutter-Free mission! I think I'm being really good by sorting loads of stuff out (for ebay, freecycle, etc), but it just seems to make my house even more of a mess!!! It really puts me off ebaying, as I know that everything I find will be clogging up the house for at least 5 more days, lol. I wish I was one of those people who could just throw things out, but I hate the idea of throwing anything away that could be worth something... even if it is only 99p, lol.
Think it's going to take longer than a month to clear my clutter. If only there were a few more hours in the day...
On a more positive note, I have £20 to add(Clubcard vouchers and S&S).

Just a quick question for anyone out there! What would you do if you sold something to someone on eBay that lived around the corner to you? Would you still send via Royal Mail to get proof of postage? Its weird because I am selling something they could get cheaper if they took a 2 minute walk! (no exaggeration!)£20 a day April 2014 £834.87/£600 :j

I would call them and take it round and save them money!0 -
If they have paid by paypal, send it in the post, it's too easy for them to claim they havent received it if not, no matter if you get them to sign a piece of paper to say it's received or not, paypal won't care. protect yourself.Lose 28lb 3/28lb
