  • :j Well I've just ordered my second £15 amazon gift certificate from toluna. If it take's anything like as long as the last one it won't credit during this month's challenge but it's still nice to have it coming.

I'm over half way to cashing out on valued opinions too, which will be for the first time.;)

Took the day off tomorrow (I have hundreds of them stored up and if I take them all over Christmas it'll be practically February before I get back to work). So am going to finish off Christmas shopping & give blood, and then maybe clear out and put some more stuff on ebay.

£3 to add from bringing my own lunch to work.

Another Ebay rant  -Sorry, but need to moan!!

Basically sold some leather knee high boots as new with defects (a couple of tiny scratches on the heel) that I bought last year and did not wear as the heel was a little high for me. Sold for £16 and knew I had a nightmare buyer as 2 days after the sale she got in touch asking where her boots were (bearing in mind it was a standard parcel delivery) - something about the tone of the message made me think here we go..... !

Knowing behold she has got in touch today complaining that the boots are obviously 2 different colours (??) asking for a return as she clearly could not possibly wear them in that state. Now I am particularly fussy about describing my items properly and I had taken and listed 9 different pictures of the boots in all orientations and no way had I noticed an issue.

I have contacted her advising her to return the boots for a refund as I know I stand no chance with paypal. What goads me is that I loose £6 in postage as will have to refund her postage payment. I will check the boots when I get them back and if OK she can whistle dixie for a refund on her return postage (which would leave me £12 in total out of pocket). If I have made an error - then fair enough I will refund the return postage, but I really don't think I have. Will probably result in my first ever negative rating - but do you know what I simply do not care!!!

I know buyer protection is really important, but I just feel like as a buyer you can "try before you buy" on whatever you want and if you don't like it you can shout not as described or fake and get all your money back leaving the poor genuine seller out of pocket. Grrrrrrrr!!!!!

    Rant over!! And breathe................

***Edit to add: Happy Birthday Lolly!!! *** ....((...breaks into tuneful rendition of Happy Birthday to you...!!!!))

Yay! Got £20 M&S vouchers from LoveFilm (via Quidco) for signing up for a trial. Putting £8 into the savings pot as that's how much I've used so far for Xmas wrapping paper and cards. :)
I've got a plan so cunning you could put a tail on it and call it a weasel.
  • Well I have a grand total of £3.92 to add from ebay. Hardly seems worth it! I sold eight items and that is how much money I made after the cost of fees and postage materials. Gutted really. Took about half an hour to parcel up and then another 20 mins waiting in post office queue. Beginning to think it wasn't worth the effort.

But I suppose every little bit helps and its all going off the debt. Should hopefully get to below £1000 before xmas. Fingers crossed!
