  • I know this might be a long shot...
But can you copy the CD using another PC and see if it works that way

It has worked for me before :j

That is something which I will try, hopefully tomorrow. Thanks

  • Emailed KWorld, they sent me the software online. Unfortunately didn't fix the problem. Still no channels available with a scan. Bought a new DVB thingy (Blaze DTV) installed and scanned, managed to get 4 ITV channels and nothing else, uninstalled and reinstalled got 4 BBC channels and nothing else, uninstalled and reinstalled now can't get anything at all ! very strange considering that before it broke down it received all channels perfectly. Checked the aerial and it's fine (thought it might have been damaged in the recent winds) this is just mental. Have no hair left now, pulled it all out

I have a kworld usb stick and cd but I tend to use a different free to download application called media-portal https://www.team-mediaportal.com which I think has a much nicer interface. Any tv card with bda drivers should be supported, if your new card is not already supported then there are instructions on how to find the necessary settings and add then to the ini file. I would give this a try, probably with the kworld card which you know has been able to get a signal in the past.

There is also a digital tv signal checker site which advises which transmitter you should be scanning for and whether there are any signal problems for that transmitter (more common than you might think). Can't remember the site of the top of my head so you might as well google it as me
    I think....

I agree with Inactive, aerial would be my first suspect. 99% of digital faults are down to reception. Try a temporary indoor aerial just to check, see if there is ANY improvement. Good luck.............
