DVB-T help please ?

I wouldn't normally go on but the Aunt is really on my case.

Has anyone had a problem with receiving digital TV via a dongle stick thing since upgrading to a flat screen LCD monitor ?

I am fed up with her calls.

Can anyone help ?
Thanks for saving my life and sanity

Basically the stick will only receive channels very occasionally since the monitor was changed last week to a LCD one. And even then it only receives them for about 3 minutes or so and then freezes.

The PC She is running is a 1.3 gig athlon with a 64mb graphics stand alone, and has a 256 processor (basic) (as opposed to DDR)

But running her Digital stick for the last year or so has not been a problem. Just since the bloody new monitor arrived has there been a problem.

    Thanks for the replies

  • Hi,

    It would seem that subsequent to me checking the kit again there appeared to have been a corruption on the programme. I uninstalled the whole lot again however I cannot re-load it because every time I put in the CD and try to load up the software it comes up with an error message in a box headed;

    Component transfer error
    Component: Main App
    File group: Editor Eng
    File: F:\DVBT Plus\data2.cab
Error: Data Error (Cyclic redundancy Check)

I googled it and seems that the CD may be damaged in the wrong place.

Any ideas for a fix or any suggestions ?

I tried the manufacturers website to get a new CD but it doesn't look like they send them out.

  • who is the manufacturer?

Can't you download the driver from their site?

    Is the CD clean?

    The manufacturer is KWorld.

I did download the drivers and updates etc. But unfortunately it is the main programme which won't load up.

The CD is very slightly scratched but nowhere near as bad as some I have which work fine. Might be that it has a scratch in just the wrong place !

1.Fixed application hang with K-Lite Codec filter installed.
2.Fixed the question after autoscan, there is no any video.
    3.Add new EPG solution.
4.Fix a bug that U.K. Country can support frequency offset, like France.
5.Fixed autoscanning method at poor signal.

you could try it in a different drive, your PC..

Unfortunately that is not the whole programme, it's only an update to the programme. The whole programme is about 280mb  and is not available to download (Well not that I can find anyway):confused:

Now I suppose if an MSE'r had a copy of the CD they could lend me............
