Getting out of Tiscali contract.

Options
Does anyone know how to go get out of a contract early. Mine ends in a couple of months and I want to change provider as soon as possible. Thye have been really bad with their customer support and their service general has been really bad.

Also, I know I need some kind of code number to move. Is this supplied by Tiscali and when I move is it done instantaneously or will I have have a perdios of no access?

Any help would be appreciated.

The MAC code you need isn't supplied by Tiscali unless you kick up a real fuss (it's a voluntary system that isp's sign up to and Tiscali haven't)

Have a look on the Tiscali forums for ways of getting out of your contract.

    http://www.tiscali.co.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=215

You will have periods of no access, it takes 10 days minimum to release the line (that's if you are lucky) Phone BT to make sure that they have asked for your line to be cleared (I'm considering changing my phone number to get a cleared line) Tiscali can 'forget' to tell BT that your line should be made available for another ISP.

    Good luck

  • If you want a PDF guide on how to get rid of Tiscali when your contract ends PM me with your email address & I will send it you.

If you thought the service from Tiscali was bad wait until you try cancelling. The y will make it as difficult as possible for you to leave them & the indian customer support team will not assist you and indeed, cannot expediate cancellations.

Been with Tiscali. Reasonable time with them but left due to them ignoring existing customers. Difficult and drawnout to leave them. Sorry. Not much help.
