Hello everyone.

My name’s John and I work at Scholastic Book Fairs. I am very happy to see how much you like our online clearance sale – there really are some fantastic bargains to be had!

There have been some comments about our payment system and concerns about not yet having received a phone call so I thought I would address them and put your minds at ease.

We have experienced unprecedented demand this year so it is taking a little longer than usual, but if you have placed an order and received a confirmation email, you will be contacted by phone. Your order will be reserved until payment is made or the sale ends (12pm, Friday 9th December).

It is important that customers provide a daytime contact number. If you are still waiting for a call and have a better contact number, please email [EMAIL="booksale@scholastic.co.uk"]booksale@scholastic.co.uk[/EMAIL] with the details or call 0800 212 281.

I appreciate that it might seem unusual for us to have to phone you back for credit/debit card details. The simple reason for this is that our system was originally set up to invoice schools rather than accept payments online. As the sale has grown in popularity, the need for an online payment facility has become more clear and we are currently researching ways to introduce this in future sales.

In the meantime, thank you for bearing with us, and I hope you enjoy your books!

Just received lovely books I ordered on Monday. Thanks OP and Scholastic. Great courier as well. I was out when he phoned so told him to leave the parcel by the door if he could and he even covered it with a doormat Cool.

Received my book today and am most impressed! The Horrible Christmas and Encyclopedia Horrifica are particularly good bargains

I paid on the Friday and mine arrived on Monday. I've always had very quick deliviery from them. Id give it a week and then ring them.

Payment was taken thurs am & I received mine tuesday afternoon. V. impressed with books.

Hi, I'm new!

I ordered from the book sale on the first day - I was order no 82 and received my books today, just to give you an idea of how long delivery is taking.
Has anyone else had any problems with their books?
Mine are generally great - especially pleased with Horrible Christmas and Captain Underpants (hardback), but I also bought the Star Wars 3D book and the mask is missing from the front. I have emailed Scholastic about it - I felt a bit bad as I did only pay a pound for it, but its completly useless without the 3D glasses in the mask.
