Really hope this is a wind up! What a terrible thing to suggest! Lets hope you don't have children
OP I'm glad you had a word with the teacher, hopefully it was just a game, albeit a slightly strange one, but at least they can be aware there could be problems!0 -
My granddaughter was 4 in August and has just started school. She is actually the youngest child in the whole school. She has told my daughter stuff about other children "wanting to hurt" her or saying they would not be her friend. When my daughter has questioned her further it does seem to be a breakdown in communication and also that the little one over elaborates situations. It is not exactly that she is lying but that she has got hold of the wrong end of the stick and then embroidered things! She is a very imaginative kid.
I can fully understand your concern and I think you have done the right thing in bringing it to the teacher's attention but try not to worry too much. It might have been blown up out of proportion.0 -
DD has two children in her class with hearing aids, and DS has one child in his class with hearing aids. If anything, the other children have been jealous! One of DD's friends had a High School Musical hearing aid and they were all jealous of that. It's certainly nothing that's ever been an issue other than that. DD was mentioning to me today that they've got a new machine/microphone that they have to wear when they speak to the boy in her class with hearing aids, which she says is better than the one they had before! I honestly think that at this young age children are very accepting. In fact, much more than when I was in school
The boys in DS's class are pretty wild (he's in year 1) and honestly, if I took seriously everything that was said and done I'd have gone insane by now. He does occasionally come off worse, but I know he can give as good as he gets, despite being small for his age.
In many ways girls are worse because it's more verbal and about not being friends with each other one day, then best pals the next. I can't fathom it out. But I do know that if I'd gone wading in at the first sign of a girlie tiff then I'd have looked pretty daft when they were best friends again next day.
JxAnd it looks like we made it once again
Yes it looks like we made it to the end0
