I sent it off to HTC for repair, and they are saying the LCD screen has cracked. They said it isn't under warrenty and will be £85 to repair. My question is, is it possible for the LCD screen to crack when there physically isn't anything wrong with the phone? No scratches, dents, dropping, pressure etc etc.
It was literally fine one minute, sat on a shelf for 2 hours without being touched, and then when I returned it had a black glow.
I've escalated the repair at the Centre for some 'proof' but just wondering if I should resign myself to paying the money?
My friend had a handset with a tiny chip in the screen but it wasn't bothering him so he ignored it. He set it down on his desk one day and it cracked before his eyes. He assumed the impact of him setting it down expanded the chip into a crack.
