Actually I wouldn't be comfortable somewhere like that... I designed my 'dream home' a few years ago, a two-storey barn type thing in the middle of nowhere, but there are others I've fallen in love with too.
One was a pontoon floating on a creek in the South of England. The guy lived in a homemade wooden hut making folk instruments and sitting on beanbags. I wanted to grow up to be him

Honestly, I probably live in my ideal house already. It's an ex-council semi and it pretty much has everything, both within the house and the surrounding area that I wanted when I went house hunting. My experience of big expensive houses is that they can own you more than you own them, so I'm keeping well away from all that now.0
