Program hangs using wireless router

yes, the internet works fine using same connection.

It just happens straight away, no error message. Screen freezes and I have to ctrl alt del to end. KES constantly refreshes itself which may have something to do with it? ie information is being added all the time, KES tries to refresh then hangs.

Not familar with KES, but the only thing I can think of that is different with having a router in the middle is:

1. The ip address will be different, a 192 address instead of a real internet address.. if there is any IP config in the KES package, that may need to be changed.

2. The NAT/firewall in the router may be blocking a port which is needed, for the application to work. https://www.portforward.com

3. If you are using a VPN, then the mtu setting may need tweaking.. to answer that you really need to find out where the data is going, is it going to work, or an internet site? To initiate a VPN connection, you normally have to click on something to connect to work.
