I think it may be what I had and a couple of other people - every cell in my body ached right through to the core but not a hugely high temperature. It seemed to come in phases, as I felt better after a couple of days then relapsed with a very sore throat (which affected first one side then the other). It took a while to clear completely but the sore throat responded well to paracetamol, so hopefully by tomorrow you'll feel a bit more human
It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!

Take a look at the 3 graphics. Now concentrate on the one at the left.
Does that make sense? Or is it just me?:D

No it's not just you, why have they used that extra comma? Actually does it need any of the commas, shouldn't it just be "no booking fees from home"??

(Besides the commas) I might just be being very picky, but saying "Save and arm and a leg" seems a bit like saying "It's not raining cats and dogs" - we use the original but not its opposite, if you see what I'm blithering on about :rotfl:

Just found out a friend of mine died yesterday in the middle of a back op. My age with kids the same age as mine, devastating.

Hope you are all enjoying the sunshine - it is fab here!

Sadly I'm in bed with what feels like 'flu (except I don't think I have a very high temperature but I couldn't read the darn thermometer even if I could find it ). I have a really sore throat & everthing aches - even my hair :rotfl: so I'm just lazing in bed, trying to sip tea/water & resisting the urge to potter too much as I feel exhausted (yet can't sleep). I'm so rubbish at being ill :rotfl:

Thankfully my children are with their Dad this week, so at least I can just slob & not worry about anyone else. Quite frustrated as I'd love to be out but can't even bear 5 mins which isn't like me.

I have caught up, but can't seem to remember what I wanted to post :D except to say that my spelling.grammar has gone downhill since I stopped reading due to my sight problems. I have to check words far more frequently than before.

Hugs to all who need them - gentle hugs only though as it hurts my back...

Thats exactly how I have been for 3 days, absolutely shattered with it,I havent got the strenght to do much at all, my poor hubby who I look after 24/7 because of a severe stroke cant do a thing to help himself let alone me, we had the carer come in this morning to get him showered so thats one thing I didnt have to do, everything else as gone a miss...........

I havent been on here for 3 weeks as my father has been very ill in hospital and I was there for the last 5 days before he died, had to have hubby go into respite while I spent the 5 days at the hospital, social services had to take him in for me I just couldnt cope with it all, my hubby is only 53 yrs old, bless him, so we buried dad on March 23 ..........very sad as most of us know what its like to lose a loved one...........Due to all the spending cuts with the council I dont get much respite time cos they wont take hubby into care much for me, and my health is real bad, so I dont need this horrible bug that I seem to have right now, So im off to bed very soon to get some much needed rest..........................Theres no way I will have the time to read the last 50 or 60 pages that have gone since I was last on here..!!. So I cant comment on othere posters posts right now...Take care all.....

:( PIC, that's awful, plus it makes you think of your own mortality. A friend of mine (slightly younger) died in November and I still can't bear to think about it. ((((hugs)))) to you and the family.

I hate it when people say (about someone who's done well) "I think you've really nailed it". They do that a lot on programmes like XFactor and it sounds like a crucifiction! Realistically though ....:rotfl:

Came back yesterday from a few days in Southport,. DS1 lives in Liverpool, but it's nicer staying in Southport - especially with this glorious, unexpected weather. Tshirts and cut-offs all the time we were there, so I'm glad I de-forrested the legs before I went :D
No bargains in the charity shops, sadly, and I was quite disappointed. Until I went out today in the Home Town and got a Jaeger Cashmere Vneck sweater for £3.50 from the Sally Army shop.
First time I've ever been able to afford JAEGER and absolutely first time I've ever been able to afford CASHMERE! Put the two together and I am soooo happy.

ETA Just read your post Shegar. What a terrible time for you. Take care of yourself

So sorry you are ill Shegar; you have had such a lot to cope with, and I'm sure you need to grieve for your dad too. Are you registered at your Dr's as a carer? I think it was Kidcat who alerted me to that.

PIC :- Just wanted to say how sorry I am to hear about your bad news.

Shegar:- What an awful situation for you. I hope you're ok. Get lots of rest, I am sending hugs and healing thoughts to you and your Hubby. I know it will take a while for your world to right itself again.:grouphug:
