Work for them do you? Moron.whatsits wrote:I think your all just spoiled brats, why should a store take back something that isn't faulty and that is the correct product of what you needed?
What the hell? You must be some stuck up prat that knows nothing! You seriously think a human likes telling customers the opposite of what they wanted to hear? Every business you go to there are guidelines and rules you must follow... Refunding any old rubbish for silly reasons would obviously loose the company money so why should they?
Life is such a !!!!! isn't it? God dammit, grow up mate! Go cry in a corner! As I said businesses have guidelines that they have to follow - the instore staff are just doing what they are told... You know what they say, don't shoot the messenger!
Does microsoft publish Bill Gates email address? Nope!
Why, because they refuse to refund a non damaged product that is fit for use? You're some laugh mate!
I don't work for currys or dixons or any of them but I was just surfing the net and came across that post and I couldn't stop thinking 'What a jerk off!' you obviously have never been in the trade business! Think Before You Leap! There really is nothing left to say than, grow up?
Yeah I think that about sums it all up.
Have a nice day!0 -
Currys Suck. I Refuse To Shop At That Moronic Outlet.0

I have bought things from Currys and have been happy with the service I recieved on the occasion I had to take something back (not as it was faulty, but as I had merely changed my mind. Refund offered, no problem)
And no I DONT work for them!Baby Ice arrived 17th April 2011. Tired.com! :j0 -
Dreadful people! I went to the Newport branch of the Isle of Wight and waited in line to exchange an item. After 20 minutes I got to the front of the line and the woman closed her till for lunch leaving one lady dealing with a seperate line of customers.
She told me that if I paid her for working her lunch break she'd deal with me!
I'm not patient with these types of people so I just took the replacement item from the shelf (a boombox/mp3 player) and walked out with it.
I left her with my faulty unit and the receipt and her last comment as I exited was "What about your warranty!" :O
I gave her a digital response and drove off!0 -
Vote with your feet, I have and will never shop at curry's again!
They will soon get the message that you can't treat customers that way.:D:kisses3: Everyday above ground is a bonus!!:D0 -
I bought a Samsung LE19R71BX 19" LCD television last week. Currys price (with vouchers etc) was £249.99. I didn't buy it from Currys.
My television came from Hughes TV+Audio in Ipswich at a price of £279.99. Reason? Hughes don't mess you about. AND. The warranty is specifically handled by Hughes themselves.
So, I paid an extra £30 to a company which in the last 25-years hasn't messed my family about once. We've been renting from them for about that time when we first had a Sony Betamax C7.
I would never. I repeat.. I would never buy ANYTHING from Currys/Dixons/PC World/Comet as they're all so rude and totally useless.
What amazes me is that they're rude and evasive before you even hand your money over if you start asking them awkward questions. "Who is the warranty provided by?" "What is the returns procedures?" "What happens if I'm not happy with it?" "Will it do XYZ?" "Can you write XYZ on the bottom of the receipt and sign it?"
Spend the extra £10 £20 and buy elsewhere. It truly is worth it.0 -

Good on you. Proof that it's not always about the price on the label - these days you've got to be wary of where you buy from.0 -

Due to their buying power and markups, they only need to get shoppers to buy once. So really, it doesn't matter how they treat them as long as another customer comes along.0 -

Would you work through your lunch break just because it was busy? This is probably her only time away from the shop floor for 4 hours - and is time for which she almost certainly isn't paid.stogiebear wrote:I'm not patient with these types of people so I just took the replacement item from the shelf (a boombox/mp3 player) and walked out with it.
So just because you haven't the patience to wait in a queue you have decided to take an item from a shelf and walk out with it. There is a name for that - it is called shoplifting - something the police take a rather dim view of.0
