My MIL is 89 and has Dementia. She went into a Nursing Home in November after being in hospital for 5 weeks after a fall. From her pension of £147.00 per week, she will be paying £118.26 to the Nursing Home for her care. She only has savings of £5000. She will be left with the rest for spending money. HTH x0
