You really are having difficulty with this aren't you. Lawful and Legal are two separate things. That's lesson one over. Have you not heard of maladministration?

Go on then! Tell us all the difference between lawful and legal. It may be different in Wales, so I'll make allowances.

I'll tell you now about the compensation I received for maladministration. There were 3 noughts on the end and a couple of figures before the noughts, so I know a fair bit about maladministration.

Wales has no law making powers at present. Lesson three.

Lesson four: Get it right!! I never said that Wales has law making powers. I was talking about the language and culture differences that could influence your understanding of the difference between lawful and legal.

    Lesson five: consider also ethics.

Lesson six: reflect on the difference between 'common law' and 'statute'.

Lesson six: reflect on the difference between 'common law' and 'statute'.

Lesson Seven: Keep on digging. Or in your case......someone who has done absolutely nothing to protect against his relative's situation so far apart from to question someone who has, because he appears incapable of concenrating on the truly important matters, don't keep on digging. PLease, for your relatives' well being, look at Derek Cole / Stephen Squire's advice. Remember, it is not my advice, it is though very sound advice.

Lesson Eight: read up and learn more about Derek Cole and Steve Squires. Or even read up about their absence from the presence.

Who is Derek Cole? He's never posted anything anywhere on the internet since 2000-and-a-bit-ish. From what I can find out, he was a Head Teacher, who retired and who then spoke to quite a few local meetings of local people, and who then took a couple of qualifications. He's not a lawyer; he's not even a solicitor; he has never been a practicising solicitor/legal person; he just got an ology, as Maureen Lipman would say, or rather he didn't even get an ology. He just took a couple of courses, and he acquired a couple of qualifications.

He has never been employed in the world of Law, or anything other than teaching. No disrespect there from me to the teaching profession. Derek Cole is not an expert in either Law or in NHS law or in Care law .... or anything else where law is concerned.

If you know otherwise, please post details of what Derek Cole has achieved and been involved in before and after the origins of your 'copied and pasted' posts on this particular MSE forum. Each and every one of your posts originates from the Steve Squires forum.

I have been looking at each and every turn of the road.

Along the way, I have taken great steps to ensure that my Mum is safe and secure and that her wellbeing is solidly reliably safe and secure. Safe and secure is my Mum! On that you can rely.

You have so far only quoted Steve Squires and every forum that he has ever posted on and been connected with. You have posted not one single piece of original thought.

Nor have you questioned anything so far that Steve Squires has allowed you to copy and paste here.

I am left wondering whether you could perhaps invite your wife to support you in your hero-worship of Steve Squires and Derek Cole? That would maybe help your cause.

You can also rest assured that I have read and will continue to read all the forums/links/etc connected with the only source of your reason-for-being here aka Steve Squires.

If Steve Squires advice is so magnificent, how come he is not headline news? How come he does not feature in the press whenever we read about people having to sell their homes to pay for their care in care homes? How come he is never interviewed on radio or television if his advice is so reliable? Surely he would be the first point of contact for the press, radio and television, each and every single time this question crops up.

    Lesson Nine : question everything.

Lesson Ten: Don't allow yourself to be sucked into believing that everything you read, copy and paste, via the internet is a reliable source of information, without questioning it all. Without checking out each and every source posted and quoted. Without asking questions and getting answers to those questions.

    What's ironic about it?

    Yes, I did check.
The thread I gave the link to has been deleted since I posted earlier this moring - you were just to late to see it.

It is the 2nd thread started by ianua1 discussing this topic which has been deleted.
  • Would someone please explain why 2 seperate threads concerning CHC have been deleted, I have always found MSE Forums helpful, but when you are following threads, because you are in this situation and they disappear overnight, it is very frustrating.

You'd be better asking the mods why the threads have been deleted.

There's a long running CHC thread here:
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/800521

so I guess it's probably the content of the deleted threads rather than the subject.
