Hi al, firstly thanyou to eveyone for advice on my previous thread but due to some strange circumstances I need more in depth help.
A property came on the market last monday, by thursday their was an offer on the property but we were still told we could come and view the property. Whilst we were their(saturday) the vendor made it clear he'd be happy to arrange us a second viewing. So by monday we'd fallen in love with the house and offered the asking price and mentioned we'd have a valuer round within 48 hours of accpting price....
Today we find out both offers are asking price and we are both equal in our positions so they have given us till noon tommorrow to reconsider our offer. Is this wise. The property seems very high compared to previous sale prices over the last year and yet they are all identical size properties. No doubt this house exceeds most on quality and style, theirs plenty of original features etc and compared to other proprties on the market this is lovely for the price. I also need to move ASAP as exchange is due to happen any time now on my house.
Also does anyone have any advice on what Bredbury ni Stockport is like as an area.

Yeah Ive done this but its a very general website and a lot of the info covers the whole of stockport. As Ive never heard of the place till last year I just wondered if anyone had a general idea on the area. I know its not the best place in Stockport to buy but unfortunatly i cannot afford these areas therefore is it ok. I dont want to live somewhere that will be dangerous for my children to grow up in.Saving needed to emigrate to Oz*September 2015*

hi just spoke to my partner hes from manchester he said its not a top area but its prob the best of the worst a bit like reddish. we were looking to move to stockport but couldnt afford cheadle, bramhall, hazel grove areas, we looked at reddish and wernt keen so decided to go a bit further to macclesfield which is more affordable and a nicer area. is there any chance you could look out further0

Will have a quick look now but I dont drive and hubby and I work in the centre of stockpor and planning on working opposite shifts to each other on the same day so it would mean less commuting time if were close by therefore more working hours and more money. Will hae a look around though. I have always really discounted Redish far too close to some very bad areas...Saving needed to emigrate to Oz*September 2015*

What's the local school like? Are you guaranteed to get into to it if you move to that address? You might find that because of the location of this house then you are in a nice little pocket of "Breedy" and it's perfectly acceptable but without the school quality then I'd not be bothering (that's coming from someone who moved because of secondary school policy in Manchester)A house isn't a home without a cat.

I have writer's block - I can't begin to tell you about it.
You told me again you preferred handsome men but for me you would make an exception.

know what you mean about reddish its difficult finding the perfect location because there are so many nice and ok areas with tramps-vile located just round the corner0
