57 points for me this week. Still cheaper than £57 worth of groceries, so I'm not complaining!

It kind of makes me laugh to read people’s expectations over what Adpoints is about. Unless you are totally disconnected from reality, there was no way that Adpoints were going to consistently allow everyone to get 250 points week after week for watching videos. Look at how much you have to spend in Sainsburys, BP or any of the online sites to match a 250 point per week deal. It wouldn’t make good business sense to allow Adpoints to pay out in such a way.
The key point to note is that Adpoints state that you ‘may be able to get up to 250 points’ per week. The key words are ‘up to’. It’s just like DFS, Currys, PC World and all the other big retails saying ‘Massive Sale – up to 60% off’, and people go in expecting 60% off everything. It doesn’t happen. The ad is there to draw you in in the hope that you will spend, just like Adpoints draws you in with the hope that you will get 250 points per week.
I’ve tracked my points total week on week, and whilst it started off good, it is now down, sometimes up, sometimes right down. But at least I’m getting some points.
Some people complain that it’s a con. I’m not really sure how it can be. You weren’t forced to join the site, and each ad clearly states the number of points you can be awarded and how long the Ad is. It also states that ‘up to 250 points’ bit meaning that there is no guarantee. The only con (if you want to call it that) is that you have to log on to the site to see all those details, which perhaps takes 20 secs.
Ultimately it is your choice if you want to do that, and your choice if you want to click and watch the Ad that gives you 2 points. No one is forcing anyone to do it. Personally I’m just happy to be getting some points for free rather than spending loads of money to get the equivalent points through purchases.0 -
Well I thought I was going to end up only getting 30 this week but loads of adds today so up to 77. Still my worst week but not too bad really haivng not checked it 3 days this week because of exams. Also what they say about the points varying per ad is true, I had some worth 3,2,1 per view today.0
