I'm sure the Adpoints business model isn't to give away as many free points as possible to people who really don't care about what they are watching or have any interest in the brands advertising...
Perhaps if some of you followed the links to the brand sites and actually purchased something now and then, it would generate more revenue for the advertisers to give to Adpoints for new adverts, to allow them to increase the number of points being offered on the adverts!!!
Its simple economics. Its common sense that they don't have a huge pot of free Nectar points to give away without generating some revenue somehow. If you guys are just taking the free points and not clicking through and showing the brands who are advertising on adpoints that they are getting increased web sales... those brands will stop buying Adpoints adverts and there will be fewer and fewer "free" points available until it stops altogether. No more FREE points at all! MAD FACE OVERLOAD.
By definition, this should be about money SAVING, not Nectar points generating. If you can SAVE money by buying a product online at a reduced price through an offer advertised on Adpoints, there's the money SAVING! Its a bonus that you can earn Nectar points too!
What you are saying is definitely correct and actually shedding light on the root this problem.
However the points are actually not free - we spend our time and energy, just like you do for your boss/customers to earn money.
And just like there are good companies and bad ones, there are more than one ways to achieve from the same business model.
A good cashback site can give us good rewards, thus let us click and save money, the brands get more customers, and the site gets the margin - everyone's singing and dancing.
How about if the rewards are poor, customers neither click nor purchase, brands are reluctant to advertise, the site looses revenue, receives complaints and offers even poorer rewards...
Do you think customers are to blame for this vicious circle and thus should be forced to purchase something to help everyone out of this circle?0 -

Dear Nectar Adpoints Member,
Thank you for your email.
The number of points you can collect for viewing may vary from Ad to Ad, or indeed vary on the same Ad depending on how many times you have viewed it. The number of points you can collect for different activities (ie answering questions or clicking-through to the advertisers site) may also vary from Ad to Ad.
Best regards,
Adpoints Customer Support

- Seem to be getting touchy, are they having a few e-mail today? :rotfl:0 -
I guess new people are getting more points because they have a stock of old adverts, whereas those who are with Adpoints for long have run out of adverts, so are only receiving new ones.
I joined on Friday last week, got 123 points on the day, and this week, I already reached the maximum of 250 points in 2 days (Mon-Tue). I couldn't do 4 adverts of around 30 points and hoped that they would stay in my carousel until next week but they quickly disappeared. I think they will re-appear next week. That shows Adpoints do not have endless supply of adverts.
Someone mentioned Mirana Bra, Wow speakers, XHose etc were added on 14 Feb, but those only appeared on my carousel today.
I am curious if number of points for the same advert is different between newer and older people. At least I have not seen any with 1 point only. So far 2-4 to watch video, 2 for first question, 1-2 for second question, and 1 for a link. Number of points per ad may already be decreasing as on Friday I had several ads which I could watch 2-3 times, but there is no such ads today.0 -
Do the add get released at a certain time?
checked last week n i had 6 new ones at 5pm but when i check in moring i dnt have any0 -
I have 4 adverts this week and the highest points is 3.
I wont bother with them at that but as previously said I don't understand why people are getting angry. This extra points idea is a bonus and will disappear I reckon or get lower points per advert as more and more people join.
