Virgin Tivo box

I had the new Tivo box installed last Friday. On Saturday we lost catch up, on Sunday we lost all channels.
Box replaced yesterday. Catch up was working yesterday. Today catch up is not working.
Second light flashing on box means it's the box that's fautly according to the engineer, so guess we have a second faulty box.

It means no return path, usually a signal issue0

Is that due to a faulty box or is it something their end?
It means that when the installer put the box in,he didn't check the signal strength & forward/return path levels with a signal meter & adjust them using attenuators if the signal is too high or equalisers if the slope between the three signal level's measured is too steep.
The are forward & return path, which in laymans terms is like a motorway, forward path is the box talking to the network & return path is the other way round.
It's in 90% of cases, not a box issue & is one of the main faults, installers failing to check the signal levels, either being too high or too low.0 -
Well it's working today but I'm not cancelling engineer visit because not hopeful it will continue working!

If I were you I would leave a complaint with them so that they never sell a faulty equipment to anyone again.0

And how could they guarantee that they will do that?:pB&SC No. 298

Considering VM don't sell any equipment apart from Hubs & Dongles, the TV boxes (analogue, digital & Tivo) & Cable Modems (SACM) belonging to VM,your point doesn't really have any value, especially as the problem is on the network & not the TIVO boxes...PhantomX12 wrote: »If I were you I would leave a complaint with them so that they never sell a faulty equipment to anyone again.0 -
Well it was obviously overworked yesterday because it's packed in again today!!!

You need a service tech out to check the signal levels, the cabling & F Connections, change the Isolator & the splitter.
He should check the signal levels at the Tivo box,the Isolator & before & after the splitter in the ETB (box on your outside wall)0
