I live in the village where the festival is held and although Wateraid, Oxfam and other charities benefit they earn the money they receive by providing workers. Tax deductable for Eavis. By the way Eavis has been found unfit to hold the licence because he was caught selling tickets with duplicate numbers. This is fact. That is why Mean Fiddler are involved. Please bear in mind that the festival licence has not been granted yet.0

I know somebody who works for the Festival itself and he says it is Michael Eavis the organiser who insists on all the extra security for getting tickets. However he also told me that although it says you cannot change the name on the ticket they do it for you if you write and ask. I will be registering and buying tickets for my son and myself and if I decide not to go then mine will go on E-Bay!
I dont see that selling one ticket is such a crime!!
I take it you know your picture will be on the ticket as well!0 -

Good idea as far as I'm concerned. Should weed out the people people who really want to go from those opportunists.0

I dont know why everybody gets so out of sorts about somebody buying a ticket and maybe not using it. I will buy one ticket for me and one for my son who is going. Then if I decide not to go I will either sell to to one of my friends ( and get the picture changed ) or sell it on E-Bay as a last resort. I know about the picture thing! Also everybody has the same chance to but tickets when they go on sale so I am not going to feel guilty!!0

Ticket details cannot be changed, nor can photos. This is cold hard fact.
Purchased tickets can be cancelled up until May 5th, but they cannot be transferred.
The preregistration process is a great idea in my opinion.

People get out of sorts because everyone does have the same chance but if there are people (like you) who buy tickets then don't use them, it is 1, 1000 whatever tickets not available to people who do want to go.
I hope the pre registration stops this and that only those who truly want to go are able to get tickets. There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.0 -
Jordylass is spot on.
This festival is the highlight of the year for many people. I know of people for whom this is their summer holiday. For those that haven't been, it isn't like Reading / V / T In The Park etc... there is something about it that really sets it apart.
The fact that it is sullied by people cashing in on it is a disgrace, and I will therefore fully support any efforts to stamp out touting.
Personally I feel that the £150 ticket price is cheap for what you get, and I shall happily hand over my money on April 1st, and then gleefully start planning the highlight of my summer.Matched Betting and Casino Bagging Target: £3500 (Masters degree course fees)
