Sorry if this is in the wrong forum - but just wanted to let everyone know that if you are planning on going to Glastonbury Festival this year - you will have to register your interest and submit a photo.
If you don't do this - you wont be able to buy tickets when they go on sale (April 1st). You have the whole of Feburuary to register so there is no panic - just wnated to make sure you don't miss out. All info can be found here:

what a load of sh*t ............so for the chance of not getting a ticket i have to waste even more money.
all this crap just gets added to the cost of the ticket.....
who gives a sh*t.........
why cant people just get of bed at 9am and buy tickets the normal way,
and if it sells out and u really want to go i can pay extra on ebay
at least u have the choice.Val0 -
I think it is free to register an interest - seems like you can do it all online. I actually think it is quite a good idea - should make it easier to get tickets on April 1st.0

I'm not sure what your gripe is, it doesn't cost anything to go through the registration procedure and if it stops touts, surely that a good thing?
We have our pictures all sized up (kids as well just in case), ready to register on ThursdayThere is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.0 -
Seems like felix has lost the ability to sell tickets at over inflated prices.Debt Free Wannabee - Updated 13/08/2007

So you think all the people processing the registration inormation are doing it for free?
Think not, the cost WILL be added to the ticket or take from the profit,
remember who benifits from the profits, Oxfam and Wateraid.
I think that the powers at be have gone a bit overboard.
Bringing in the high fence and extra security has cut out most of the thieving.
It's hard enough to get a ticket as it is, you can only buy 2 tickets at a time.
Personally I will not be going as I do not agree with the having to register on a database, just to enable you to try and get tickets.
Just think what could happen if that database got into the wrong hands.... and this is the world that we are leaving for all our children.:eek:0 -
Organisers have to take these measures because the genuine festival goers are being ripped off by touts buying loads of tickets on the first day.
The new fence was also a good move and it stopped a lot of the trouble inside the festival grounds by all the freeloaders.Martin0 -
I live near Glastonbury and went ever year for 12 years as a worker. It was all good fun then. However it has got harder and harder to get tickets even for locals. I know somebody who works for the Festival itself and he says it is Michael Eavis the organiser who insists on all the extra security for getting tickets. However he also told me that although it says you cannot change the name on the ticket they do it for you if you write and ask. I will be registering and buying tickets for my son and myself and if I decide not to go then mine will go on E-Bay!
I dont see that selling one ticket is such a crime!!0 -
If you don't want to go, why are you buying a ticket, leave it for someone who does want to go they then wont need to buy it at an inflated price on eBay!There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.0

I cant beleive anyone would sell them on ebay, if they care about the festival, if its a last minute thing where you cant go, pffer them to someone on a Glasto forum that didnt manage to get a ticket for paid price.
If everoyne bought 2 tickets instead of one, and sold one on ebay, where would we be!? No wonder security on tickets has to be stepped up.:wall:Crazy Nutters Club Member 003 :wall:0 -
they wont let you buy with a credit card either!0
