Cheap car torch needed ? where from ?

Whatever you get go for an LED torch rather than one with a bulb.
Do you just need a normal torch or a motoring one with flashing amber lights?
Lidl have some on sale tomorrow for £4.99:

I've got a BNIP Mr T, not him from the A-Team, 1watt torch you can have for the postage. Now surplus to requirements as I've upgraded the lights on my bike.0

Wilkinsons do a wind up LED torch for about four quid. I have one in the car, one in the caravan and one at home.

I like a bargain, but when it comes to certain things (like having a reliable hardy torch in my car), I don't scrimp.
Either get yourself a Maglite 2D LED @ £20 - £30 or get yourself a 12v rechargeable work lamp like this one.
I have both, but the work lamp is far more versatile, it lasts 7 hours on one charge, it can be set down on the floor, hung from the bonnet catch and angled precisely at whatever your looking at.......“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Home Bargains have a 9 LED little torch, 3 x AAA batteries are included all for 99p. Laugh all you want but it provides a better light than my 2 x AA powered mini maglite. They're a great bargain!0

What's it going to be used for? just for finding stuff in the car when it's dark, or if you need to do anything to the car in the dark?
If it's to do stuff to the car, go for one of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LED-4-MODE-HEAD-LAMP-LIGHT-TORCH-CAMPING-FLASHLIGHT-/290579807196?pt=UK_SportsLeisure_Camping_LightsLanternsTorches&hash=item43a7e7fbdc0 -
Some 'brilliant'torch suggestions BUT only one shines out.
Led /Maglite etc are all useless if the Batteries are flat, and shoving a torch in the glove compartment for emergences that might not happen for years makes that a certainty.
Go with poppasmurf_bewdley #4 wind up . will be working this year , next year or ten years .0 -

My 2D LED Maglite has been in the glovebox for 3 winters on the same alkaline batteries, I took it out yesterday to check my water level and the thing still lights up the night sky like a Hollywood search light......
Single high wattage LED, it's beats any of the rubbish you get for a few £.
It's one of very few item's that are truly worth paying for.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”
