I failed this month
. I set a budget of £170 and my month ends this Thursday. At the moment I'm over by £3.11 and I'll have to get more milk and bread by the end of the week, althought I have got everything I need for meals. Still, a lot better than a few months ago so I'm not going to beat myself up!

Have delayed posting last week's spend...as I'm embarrased by how much I've spent this month!! Although not over budget yet...I know I will be by the end of the month!!
Last week's shopping came to £53.02 - that means I've only got £18.04 left for this week's shopping - I'll never do it...we'll spend that on staples such as bread, milk, fruit, veg etc......
My only saving grace is that I stocked up on special offers this month...so have enough loo rolls, DW tabs, T-bags, washing powder etc to last me well into March!!!
Oh well...need to work out my target for March...don't know whether it's a 4 or 5 week month yet - let's hope it's only 4!!!!!!!
Just checked...it works out at 4 weeks...thank heavens for that!!!!!! Shall aim for £320 again!!!20p Saver Club #33 60p/£100

Hi all,
Still doing ok on the budget and fingers crossed it will last. I think so far, it's the best month yet. However, I do want to get some more fruit this week which will cost £££.
I have cut down on washing up powder via tips here on MSE - currently using soda crystals and Sainsburys value bio - next I want to tackle loo roll. I normally get shop's own brand - the imitations of Andrex kind of thing.
I know my local LIDL do rolls of 12 and 24, has anyone got any tips on what to get loo-roll wise from LIDL?MFW #185

Did you get everything you needed? I just imagined you running round the supermarket with AT LEAST two trolleys muttering to yourself 'I don't mind not coming back here' over and over again- oh, just ignore me, my imagination is running wild

hmmmm.... I was thinking that we'd come in under budget, but after tonights trip to the supermarket which was just to stock up on milk and veggies I'm not so sure. Currently there is 3.17 left in the budget and we've also used 8 quid of luncheon vouchers that I had left over from a training course at the beginning of the month which I've not included.Debts: Mum £3923 0% APR0
