  • and if you do use your OH's account be prepared for it to be closed once the receiver knows as they WILL ask what your doing for a bank account to pay the "pittance" in you recive they more than likely will contact your OH's bank (they did with mine) all that happens then is you create a link in turn now will drag your other halfs credit rating down then as well

sure the receiver wont care how you work BUT will question your past financial state with a fine toothed comb

and i'd LOVE to be a fly on the wall when they question a drop from 70k to 15hr rate

But I will have an a count ,y wages get paid into

you seem to be flipping backwards & forwards once you say something then change the story

you say you'll use Oh's account...then say you have an account? (hope its a barclays or co-op one otherwise it'll be closed once your bankrupt..thn for the next 6yrs it'll be difficult to get a standard account as well as further credit)

I will have a coop account my wage will get paid into. The issue is the other half will give me money fir me to spend but not go to the or - neither does he want me to have to clear my spending with him so if I can get my own card on his account he's happy

My salary of about 15k will go into the coop account

What worries me is that you could earn 70K and avoid going BR, yet you are determined to 'play the system' as it were to walk away from your debts, not even willing to pay into an IPA for just 3 years to cover OR fees and some of your debts.

Then you seem to feel it is your right to continue having beauty treatments and holidays, living a life beyond your BR means.

If only the rest of us had had that choice - I'm sure the majority would have knuckled down, earnt the money and paid the debts off.

Going BR was not a choice for me, it was a last resort having explored every avenue possible to avoid Bankruptcy.

Bear in mind that your income for the bankruptcy us from any source you receive money, not just your salary so if your partner gives you money to spend that must be declared as well

But that's the whole point - he isn't giving me money but I can spend his if I want to - he won't five it to the or ...... No money other than my salary is coming to me - the rest is his - that's the price of BR

and for the record? the price of BR as you said can affect you for MANY years to come unless you prefer to be the kept woman..

Then in answer to your question - its your OHs money and he can do as he pleases with it. He cannot place it in your bank account as you will have to declare it to the OR. You cannot have a joint bank account as you will fail the credit check on a normal account PLUS the association with you will kill his credit rating too.

The only answer here is for him to get a credit card with you as a second card holder - it wont affect his or your credit rating. You wont be liable for the debt, he will be entirely. He can pay off whatever you spend each month.

Ah i see, when i wrote my answer i thought that when you said "the other half will give me money" i thought you meant "the other half will give me money".

i would be carefull what you say to the OR as i can see how they might missunderstand and think you might be giving them unreliable statements and decide that a closer inspection of the entire situation is warented

"...(1) To be honest I'd rather use his account since I've seen on here the or doesn't care what you work or earn so long as u declare it - which I will be

    (2) I Ask if Anyone out there would not do it

    (3) I'd be better off not working thAn working for 70k with an ipa"

    (1) You arent declaring what you're earning, you're scamming out of it by pretending to be paid a pittance. Otherwise known as fraud.

    (2) I wouldn't. I faced my situation and dealt with it because I recognise it was me who got me in my mess. You ought to grow up and do the same.

    (3) Why? You think the debts YOU ran up should just be wiped out because you want to take you ball home? There are people out there who scrape by for real on minimum wage and pay their debts.

Actions like this are the scourge of society.

This board may not be for judgement, but you deserve this and far worse.
