NA - I shouldn't think so as she will be a named user only and not taking out credit in her own name. The card will be in husband's name and he will be liable.

Ivorsgirl - If your husband's company can afford a salary of 70k for you then surely it would be better to take that and pay off your debts instead of going BR? BR is a last resort to be considered if you are truly insolvent, i.e. unable to earn enough to pay off your debts.
When I joined, I needed a name. The forum members gave one to me...I am INAN :D

So is the idea of being only paid minimum wage (rather than c£70k) solely to avoid paying your debts with your ex?

Is there no way for your ex to be made to pay his part of it, at the very least the unpaid taxes as it was a joint business?

I just wonder what the OR's approach will be with the holiday, hotels and nails. I thought they were quite intrusive in the minutia of life, but not been through it so I could be wrong!

I would just like to remind people this board is not for judgement!
I would like to say to the OP some people have to pay into an IPA for 3 years and they are left with hardly anything, even with allowance they can't afford nice items.

I know you are in a situation is different to a lot of peoples but please a little more diplomatic with some of your comments, maybe you could apply for a pre paid card that your hubby could pay money on to each month for you?

Your OH defo doesn't want any kind of joint account with you as then your BR will effect them.

    Good luck

  • Option 1

Declare a full salary in your name then spend the next threes years or more paying into an ipa so you are working for nothing so why work at all

    Option 2

Roll your salary into your no bankrupt partner - pay more tax - but get the surplus to at least have a life

If 1 I'd rather not work at all than do 15 hour dAys for nothing

the official receiver's seen every trick in the book (they read here as well) so be prepared for an indepth breakdown of everything you received spent etc

at the end of the day people will try & play the system but eventually it'll come back & bite you hard

    Hmm....read curly's post again (*15)

it may be a genuine situation but all your doing is rubbing folks up the wrong way most here sadly dont have the life you have once bankrupt they'll scrimp & scrape for everything day to day & some who due to health reasons etc would LOVE to be back into work as well as being able to pay back some of the debt for 3yrs (NOT for god knows how long as you said)

NOBODY here will help you commit fraud

    There is no trick

I work for a limited company who sets my salary - I volunteer a kit of my time - if ivorn choosesmto take more dividends or salary and pay tax on it accordingly then so be it

To be honest I'd rather use his account since I've seen on here the or doesn't care what you work or earn so long as u declare it - which I will be

I Ask if Anyone out there would not do it

I'd be better off not working thAn working for 70k with an ipa

and if you do use your OH's account be prepared for it to be closed once the receiver knows as they WILL ask what your doing for a bank account to pay the "pittance" in you recive they more than likely will contact your OH's bank (they did with mine) all that happens then is you create a link in turn now will drag your other halfs credit rating down then as well

sure the receiver wont care how you work BUT will question your past financial state with a fine toothed comb

and i'd LOVE to be a fly on the wall when they question a drop from 70k to 15hr rate
