If you are on a contract that lasts 30 days and you think it costs too much that gives me every reason to terminate. I'm not here to argue with you. thanks for your piece.

I read what you wrote as being the reason to also terminate the iPhone contract too - not just the 30 day sim only.

I did not stop paying either, perhaps you should either read what I post, or don't reply.

I terminated the contract, and they sent me a huge bill. I complained, they sent the bill again and just 3 days later referred it to a collection agency.

You didn't stop paying, so you're paid off this amount from the debt collector? From what you've written you haven't - and because your contract is 24 months you HAVE stopped paying.

3 days later they referred it, okay, and how many days from the original bill date was that...you terminated a contract that was not fully paid for.

I cannot see how you didn't get a single delivery/dispatch/order email or a dispatch note in the shipment - every phone I've had from every network has had at least two different types of notification sent on the order.

And drop the attitude please - We're trying to help you

Stop acting like a school teacher and don't talk down to me.

I'm not here to listen to you have a go at me and tell me that what I did is wrong and I owe money when I dont. The ombudsman rep that I spoke to agrees that the situation warrants investigation based on the evidence provided. I'm not going to justify myself to you. I need some help, but yours is not helping.

As for paperwork, the only thing I ever received from Vodafone was a delivery note that says that I recieved an iPhone and what its IMEI number is.

You're stating my contract is 24 months, it isnt. Now kindly stop telling me the opposite of what I post.

you know what, unless I say 'vodafone should cancel your contract' you won't be happy.

I've read and witnessed many an ombudsman review...based off what you've said, you're going to be disappointed.

Good luck, you're certainly going to need it!

So, your complaint has to be very simple:
    • You agreed for 18 month contract over a phone.
    • Vodafone were supposed to send you the contract, but failed. Now they claim that the contract was for 24 months, but cannot prove this.
    • After 18 months you terminated the contract because you believed that it was for 18 months. You followed their instructions for termination and sent them a letter .
    • Vodafone were supposed to tell you that the contract was 24 months (allegedly) and that you had to pay the ETC, but they failed again.
    • They refuse to dispute the ETC, don't reply to letters, trashed your credit history and sold the alleged debt to debt collectors.

I'm currently in the middle of a dispute with Vodafone as my newly upgraded handset needs charging 2-3 times a day (its a new Blackberry, my old was also a Blackberry and my usage has not changed.)
They seem very eager to delay things; 2 weeks for the handset to actually arrive, then just shy of the 1st full week I call to report the crap power issues and they agree to send a new battery within 2 days - actually arrives nearly 3 weeks later after I threatened to cancel the upgrade. Another week roll's by and I tell them the new battery made no difference...another few weeks of back and forth arguing brings me up to today. They've offered to exchange the handset but not for the same model - go figure.
I'm no waiting to hear back if they will exchange for the same model else I'm gonna tell them I want out of the new contract and will be going elsewhere.

urgh. Their CS is appalling and makes Orange look at least half competent even if they need a nudge and certain things repeating

sorry I dont have any advice but hope you get it sorted

Sorry to go off topic, but is your new Blackberry a Bold 9900? If it is, battery life is awful on them. I know 4 people with one and we all have to charge at least once a day sometimes twice. Non of us are heavy users.
  • Im sure visidigi only replies to people to wind them up, as you certainly dont help people but just antagonise them. please get a life or be tactful

Ahh bleach thread - you and the OP make good company, throwing slanderous comments around awaiting everyone to agree with them and disputing any reply that deal with facts and legal standing.

If you don't agree with me thats fine, I don't agree with you or the OP and that is my right, its an opinion.

    Thanks :)
  • Wow that's a very long, rambling complaint. I couldn't actually get through it! I'd advise in future sticking to the facts, leaving irrelevant details out and keeping an even tone. The best complaint letters are brief, factual and state a conclusion consisting of how you would like the matter resolved.
