Hi all, i keep getting these txts this is the third one today. I was a bit worried initially but now know that it is a scam of sorts and just to ignore. I have contacted network provider and there only suggestion was change number!. I like my number and it will cost lots to change it and buiss cards etc. I have a blocking app on my phone which is great. The snag is every text i get it comes from a difffrent name so its pointless blocking. Today they were from, steve, mike and rob (the poor no doubt). Also i cant text back and say fec! O!?. Here is a a copy of the text

Replying will just increase the volume, as you will be confirming that it's a live number.

You can register for the text preference service, but if it's a Non UK company sending them they don't need to follow the rules. Calling a US number suggests they are not UK based.

Or go to the police who may look into it but they are not threatening or malicious as such so probably won't look hard.

Just delete the text....does it really need to be any more difficult than that?
