well not those ones but that's where I got the instructions from!!!

I made lots of little ones, put a hm bath bomb in each one, punched a hole in them and put a loop of silver ribbon to hang from tree and gave to dd's nursery teachers.

Joey, thanks for the instructions but when I clicked onto the link the copy seemed quite blurred - was it on yours?

    No it's not blurred???
You need to click on the printed template but you don't really need to print it off I just followed it from the screen and got the hang of it after a couple of trys.

Don't really know what you mean by "the copy"?

Sorry - not too sure how to do this. How do you mark the dots - are you supposed to pierce the template copy onto your own copy? Sorry - you obviously found it easy - I am impressed with the end result so would love to know how to do it.

Oh I am so sorry - I haven't logged on since the 23rd! I hope everyone got on OK! Joey Those are the ones! Although I'd have never thought of making them out of cards. I learnt them at school years ago and they've always stuck. :)

There was a recipe for marshmallows in the Guardian a few weeks ago, with a small section about sourcing the ingredients. It included this section about Vegegel

There are vegetarian, seaweed-derived gelatine substitutes (SuperCook's Vege-Gel, for instance), but these tend to contain additives and don't give satisfactory results in every recipe. They won't, for example, work in this one. So, if you don't want to forgo your marshmallows, you have to accept that you're consuming an ingredient with less than perfect credentials.

    Here's the link

    and the recipe

Hi I've just made this Marshmallow recipe and its come out lovely! Very light and squishy, I added a tsp of Vanilla essence and rolled the finish squares in mix of icing sugar and cornflour to stop them being sticky!

    Thanks

I made some coconut ice yesterday. It tastes ace.

    1lb sugar
    1/4pt milk
    4oz dessicated coconut
    Bit of pink food colouring

Boil the milk and sugar to 240*F, take off the heat, stir in the coconut. Put half the mix in the bottom of a greased loaf tin. Stir a little bit of the food colouring into the other half of the mix and put into the tin. When cool tip out and cut into squares.

Great Recipe, but I had a lot of difficulty getting it out of the dish:mad: , I used a ceramic dish as the metal one I had was too big! Tastes really nice though!:T

    Cheers
