Wowcher/Infurn Beanbag Offer PROBLEMS!

This offer for a reduced price XXL Beanbag from Infurn ran back in September. I ordered on the 24th September and was advised delivery would be within 21 days.
Still No bean bag ! I have emailed both many times and keep getting replies that it is on its way within the week/problems with delivery/etc etc.
Last email from Infurn stated I would receive a delivery note on Monday.Of course,nothing!

Any ideas how to proceed and can I receive some kind of compensation?

My offer was from Edinburgh Wowcher but i see from their website they are STILL offering this from other locations in the UK despite not being able to fulfill this order.Beware!

  • I would contact Wow voucher for a refund. If they refuse, I would ask your debit/credit card provider to do a chargeback. I wouldn't hang around as the more you wait the less chance you will have to see your money again.

  • I ordered a beanbag from Infurn through Groupon on the 7th November 2011..Date of delivery was supposed to be week 50, just in time for xmas....Looking at the website last week I notice they changed the delivery date to Week 04 2012....Furious as this was my daughters present...I have tried to phone everyday...the mailbox is full and they are not taking calls. I have emailed them had no reply....emailed Groupon had no reply....absolutely livid!!!! If you google Infurn you will be horrified to see all the forums relating to problems with this company even last year....same issues...I'm suprised Groupon don't do their research before taking these companies on!!!! Will try and get money back but all is not looking good...I'm grateful that I didn't pay the full price like some did direct via Infurn but still...lots of disappointed customers just before xmas!!
  • Crazy thing is they have the cheek to send a brochure with a £10 voucher off another order! don't think so!!

    We ordered our back in October and had a delivery week of 49. So far no bean bag for my sons Christmas present.

    I have written literally dozens of emails and letters to Infurn and Group-On to no avail except this standard email I recieved below.

    I suspect I'll never see this bean bag and will never use GroupOn again.

  • Has anyone actually received their bean bag yet?! It is infuriating that they arent responding to any emails or phonecalls. I know I only paid around £15 for the bag but we should all be compensated for being misled. Infurn have used so many discount sites - I paid through '!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!' - surely they should have realised they were going to be overwhelmed with the demand..

    I had a bad feeling about this back in November just after ordering through Groupon Edinburgh, mainly as the company were claiming this was a branded bean bag which it didn't appear to be. I emailed the other company who confirmed it was being missold as one of theirs and they were going through their lawyers. Groupon also confirmed this and refunded me after I emailed them to explain the situation.

    I'm sure if anyone emails Groupon now they will refund due to the hassle they'll have had with this company. Hope everyone either gets their refund or bean bag!
  • I placed my order at the start of November and have had my delivery date changed 3 times, the most recent says week 2, well that's now passed and no beanbag. I managed to speak to someone at the offices in December but they don't answer the phones or e-mails any more. Hoping Groupon will now help and I have found them really helpful in the past. I totally understand companies underestimate how these offer will go but this should be an introduction to their product and service so you will use them again, well I will NEVER do that. AVOID INFURN what an awful company
  • I also ordered my order at the start of november, my delivery date has been changed, it now reads week 2, we are about to go into week 4. I have had the same emails from infurn, I do not believe a word, I have lodged complaints with groupon, who claim everything is fine. Today i have asked for a refund, would think twice about using groupon again, when you look closely most offers are not quite as good as they appear, though can still make some small savings. Avoid Infurn they will fob you off with excuses, they are unprofessional in the manner of operation.
  • Our order was also made at the beginning of November with a delivery date initially given of week 2. I received an email from INFURN today indicating that this has now been changed to week 4. We patiently wait for our beanbag which I beleive WILL be delivered.... We are in no rush! Unfortunately I feel that INFURN, like many companies linked to Groupon, have been drawn in by the Groupon sales pitch and promises of megabucks only to be completely overwhelmed! Fingers crossed that we'll get the beanbag soon.... you leave and learn as they say...
