You dont feel safe walking on your own in the day time?

Or do just you mean after work as it gets dark so early now?

I mean after work when it gets dark. Also the only nice place to walk around here is the fields and I wouldn't feel safe there on my own during the day either. My area is nice but I grew up in a not so nice area so I am still wary probably.

One of his most successful clients has lost around 5 stone, and none of that has been through calorie counting or dieting. Shes just stopped eating huge potions and junk, and pretty much cut out alcohol.

But that's still reducing the number of calories she takes in - she might not be counting them but the process is the same...

Thank you for all your posts. I have read them all and know (roughly) now what I have to do. I know I said I got started the other day, well, I fell off the wagon. Why, why, why as soon as you tell someone you are going to start to loose weights, they turn up with homemade rock buns, and a thank you gift of a bottle of red wine. Today is the day!!!!!! I have weighed myself in, now I have to change my routine and habbits. I would love to do swimming but I have NEVER, EVER, EVER be seen in a swimming costume. I am a size 16 and going to make a promise to my daughter who is 11yrs and swims for a club that If I can reach my target I will wear one and join her in the pool. This is going to be a long way off tho so have got to start with small steps, give the rock buns to the birds. Unfortunately, the wine has gone :o)x

I'm a size 16/18 and I can assure you that more often than not there will be larger people in the pool! I go late in the evening when it's mostly adults and no one bats an eyelid at each other, we are all their for our own reasons - losing weight/keeping fit etc and I have pleasant chit chat with a number of them. If you feel self concious then wrap a towel around you and whip it off just before you get in the pool? I often wear bikini shorts over my cossie too, just makes me feel a bit better :)

Very happily married on 10th April 2013 :D

Don't starve yourself. Unless you do nothing but lie still in bed all day, 1200 calories a day is starving yourself. Of course eating more calories won't make you lose weight, but you have to be eating enough to be able to be healthy, put on muscle and lose fat. If you solely want to "lose weight", cutting an arm off is surely the quickest option, you know?

For me, calorie counting leads very quickly into disordered eating. If you have any history of it, I wouldn't recommend it. Healthy eating and exercise is the way to go. It's slower, but it's healthier, easier to stick to in the long term, and I think you're less likely to end up with loose skin.

I've lost nearly a stone in two months just from slightly increasing how much fruit and veg I'm eating, slightly decreasing how much wine I'm drinking and going for a half mile to mile walk once a week. That is an absolutely pathetic amount of effort and would be beyond easy to multiply, but I've still lost weight... there is no need to go into ketogenesis or any other rubbish. Bear in mind it's easier to lose weight the further you are from your ideal weight, and bear in mind that your body's idea of an ideal weight might be heavier than yours.
  • Swimming and Aerobic both exercises are the best to burn the calories of the body. running burn 100 calories in 45 minutes. Aerobic exercise help to burn the belly fat.
