I couldn't do it with my group support, I stay every week however good or bad I've been and always walk out with a smile on my face. If I weighed myself I'd keep making excuses.

I understand what you are saying. I think I was unfortunate with the group I went to, it seemed a lot of older women (i.e. 60 older....) and very very cliquey. One guy got an award for exercise I think the second week I went, and these women were sat behind all making faces about it. I didn't like that.

Perhaps another group is the answer...

I'd defo give it another go if I were you. Because of work/family/crazy-busy life I often go to different groups each week and they are all different, diff leaders and diff members, worth a punt for a free join :)

    It's not free!

    Voucher says:

"Join your nearest group before December 4, 2011 and enrol for FREE, saving £10, so you pay only £4.95 in your first week."

    oh well.

(edit, I posted this when I thought there would be nothing to pay on first visit - I didn't distinguish between "membership" and "per week" as pointed out in post below :))

    when the OP said:
This sunday (27th nov) there will be a voucher for free membership for slimming world in the Take it Easy magazine which comes free with the Sunday People (£1). Really good offer as I've known the membership to be reduced from £10 to £5 before but never FREE. :T

I took it to mean that there would be NOTHING to pay on first visit, i.e. free... I probably wasn't the only one :) Oh well.. £4.95 it is..
