Unfortunately the Dukan diet is unhealthy and dosen't lead to long term weight loss. As soon as you start eatng carbs again you regain weight often more than was lost over a few months. Plenty of studies on this. I'd avoid.

Did you know you can get 3 free months if you get refrred by your doctor? I'm not sure they are still doing it (I know someone who was referred about 3 months ago), and if it is only certain areas, but is worth ringing your doc to check. I don't think you have to have a particularly high BMI. Slimming World is the best thing I ever did. I think I might have been lucky with my group. I always cringed at the thought of slimming groups and am definitely not a 'joiner'-type and only went 'for one week' when dragged there by a friend. I am still going 2 years later (and am a lot lighter) and it's great. You can contribute as much as you like or hide at the back anonymously like me.
