Carphone Warehouse cashback - good/bad?

I can't seem to find a contract I like unless I go for a cashback option. I've seen some pretty nice neals on the Carphone Warehouse site, anyone had any expeirences with them?

I don't mind using this option myself, I've heard bad things from other people though...

Nice and friendly in their shop though, unlikely Phones 4u who were determined to put me on a £35 contract there and then.

cpw is ok, i've had 4/5 contracts from them all paid out just make sure you read all the terms and conditions and understand what you have to send in etc. Make sure you go through quidco to get some initial (extra) cashback to make your deal even better.

CPW is probably the least bad of a bad bunch for cashback..

Rather than get it online you might want to go to a shop and ask them to match their web offer. That's what they did with mine.

They might also give you a generous trade-in (using an old phone) against your new phone or an accessory.

That said though, they've messed me around a bit by changing the terms of the contract from cashback in two instalments to cashback in three instalments..

Don't let them persuade you into getting talktalk.

But maybe it's worth then going to Phones4U, telling about the cashback offer CPW have offered you, and asking them to improve it.. A friend got a £100 instant cashback on a Phones4U contract. But their hard sell technique would annoy me as well.
