Wedding Present Idea for Groom from Bride

Ok so I am struggling on what to get H2B.

He doesn't want a watch so that traditional idea is out the window.

He keeps going on about how he would love the Lego Millemium Falcon set. Brillient I thought till his Mum rang last night and said she had bought it for his Son for Christmas! :(

So just when I thought I had had a brillient idea I'm now back to square one.

What is everyone else getting their H2B?

Can't help I'm afraid, but would love some help with this too.

Would love to give H2B something special - but no idea really. He is one of those who doesn't need anything and has a stunning watch already. I did consider just getting some cufflinks or someting... Somewhere I saw a set that had wedding day and wedding night... Wedding day has the bride and groom all dressed up and wedding night.. well you can imagine :rotfl: Not sure where I saw them now.

But other than that I'm stumped.

I'm in the same boat as you. He's got a hip flask, otherwise I might have chosen one. He's got a watch and doesn't really want another. He doesn't write much, if at all, so a really nice pen would be a waste.

My OH loves music, but CDs and things seem too cheap and flimsy for a wedding gift, and another guitar doesn't seem very sensible :)

I'd really love to hear other people's ideas. Why are women soooo much easier to buy for?!

Some original starwars stuff? We have loads of the stuff boxed up ready to sell and I am sure the millenium falon is from there?? As you can tell, not the biggest starwars fan!

I was thinking some personalised cufflinks at first. I saw some fish ones (he's really into fishing) which were engravable so I was thinking of getting our initials on one and the date on the other. Now I am thinking he would prefer a guitar so much more especially since he keeps going on about how he wishes he hadn't sold his electric guitar. Only thing is he has rather expensive tastes when it comes to guitars. :o

I'm not into boudoir pics tbh :o Just don't like the concept, and neither would OH (I know him well).

The album of our lives together sounds fab though, maybe interspersed with some poems or prose... :):) Thanks!

You are welcome. I just got one I made for my parents of the kids. Now I REALLY don't want to give it away! I think it would be lovely with some words - perhaps with your favourite songs, quotes (Including from films/programmes etc) and even the readings you are planning on having for your wedding?

If I loose enough weight I might be tempted to do a boudoir shoot - I think it will make OH blush, but I also know he would appreciate it...

I ahd the same dilemma for buying my fiance and buying him a special engagement present

He too loves music, and instead of a cheap CD, I got him a rare LP, which he loves!

Now I need to come up with something else for the wedding
Weight loss challenge, lose 15lb in 6 weeks before Christmas.
  • I got him a personalised card which said "See you at 2", and some special cufflinks that I knew he'd love. It was a bit of a budget present, but he appreciated it :)

(Although, even with all the hinting he didn't get me anything! :rotfl: )
