Used Blackberry any good from EBAY?

Hi has anyone bought used mobiles from ebay before? is it worth it and if its unlocked can I pop PAYG sim in and go?

trying to keep costs low as Orange can ONLY offer me Blackberry 9300 at 15.50 pounds per month, 100 mins unlimited tx im paying 22.50 now for 300 mins unlimited tx, my contract has finished now and im out of work as im at home with baby

trying to get cheap used BB, PAYG SIM, keep my number

can anyone advise please?

ps dont need BB messaging

Impossible to say. Personally I wouldn't buy from someone new without a good feedback. It's not uncommon to sell a phone on e-bay, then report it lost/stolen and claim insurance.

You can if it is unlocked or locked to the same network as your sim.

This depends on how many minutes, texts and data you need.
For 300 minutes (+1000+500Mb) talkmobile 6x£8 sim-only contract (not PAYG) is probably the cheapest. For PAYG check giffgaff (250+Unltd+Unltd for £10).

Remember Ebay is not the seller its individuals who vary from 100% honest to zero honesty .
Very much a case of buyer beware and check the seller out and any restrictions on the sale .

Saying that the majority are honest and many MSE users will sell on their used phones via EBay .
Use PayPal and its guarantee .

Yep, I have, also sold phones on Ebay. Had no problem. Even sent one to Vietnam.

You can use any sim you want. Even if you don't want BBM and only want it to email, browse internet then it would be advisable to have the Blackberry bolt on from your network. It will work out cheaper because Blackberry compress their data.
