PayPoint Pre-pay for electricity - no amount on receipt?
Options
Hello
This is my first time using a pre-payment electric meter, with southern electric. They sent me a plastic thing in the post, and I went to my newsagents and put 10 quid on it. I got a receipt that had the details, date, and AMOUNT 10.00 on it. All was well.
This morning on my way to work I went to the same place, same bloke, and put 20 quid on it. I got an identical receipt, except the AMOUNT part was missing. This made me very worried, so I decided to nip back home and check - all was ok, 20 quid went onto the machine.
But does anyone know why it didn't put the AMOUNT on the receipt? He could easily have put just 10.00 on instead of 20.00 (either on purpose, or by mistake) and I wouldn't have known, plus by the time I checked I would have no recourse as I couldn't check the amount in the shop!
I am a bit worried about this... any ideas?:(

If in doubt about what's happened with a transaction of any kind, do not leave the shop until you are happy that you have what your receipt says you have. A duplicate receipt can be produced in less time than it takes to ask.0
