e2save o2 and 0844
hi all,
2 days back I took a contract with o2 via e2save, hoping I can use the minutes to call 0844/0845/0870 but reading through the previous threads, it appears it is not possible, as it is not included in the cross network inclusive minutes. As the threads are 3 months old what is the present position - any recent experiences please
thanks

To clarify.
YOu CAN use the O2 inclusive minutes to call 0844/0845 etc numbers.
The threads were set up as news filtered out from O2 that they were looking to do away with this facility - but they havent.
We've used ours in the last weeks/months and they have been included.
So keep dialing!!!0 -
Hi All............just spoke to O2 early this evening (Tel 08000490049 then option 2,2,1) who confirmed that only 0845 & 0870 come out of your allocated minutes, but NOT 0844. Apparently they do have plans to add the 0844 numbers as part of the contracted minutes soon.
If anyone knows any different, please advise.
Thanks.........0 -
But be careful as 0871 numbers are NOT included (I know, I dialled one inadvertantly and got charged for it this month ....)I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0

it probably depends on type of contract u have, i regularly dial 0844 and it does come out of my inc. minsNice to save.0

Id say aslicheese is wrong for 2 reasons.
1) On O2's website, 0844 numbers have been billed as any other UK standard number for at least the past year that I know off.
2) I have 2 O2 contracts, both within the past 3 months, one wit CPW, the other with 02 direct and both have not charged for these numbers.
It clearly states on the webby that its not a premium number, so if you been told otherwise, they are wrong! (Until o2 change it that is)0 -
See http://www.o2.co.uk/mobilestariffs/tariffs/specialnumbers
which clearly states 0844 is treated as per standard UK Fixed line call.As is 0845/0870/0800/0808/0500 but not 0871
Therefore they would normally be included in contract inclusive minutes.0 -
i have (soon to be terminated) 2x 1000 off peak landline/o2 lines that I use to call abroad via 0844. I had 25 min xnet but they were NOT taken from that allowance.ummm...0

I have an O2 contract managed by CPW and calls to 0844/0870 etc etc are included.0

Hi All
just to clarify my comments previously.......they were added to this forum AFTER contacting the 'Carphonewarehouse managed' O2 customer services (as per the telephone number given). If I was given incorrect info re 0844 numbers, then it seems that the CPW (O2) cust services are 'not singing from the same hymn sheet'.0
