    Has anyone tried WD40 for this? Not spraying on but spraying onto a cloth and then wiping over the glass...
    I use it on my glass shower screen and it certainly delays the formation of water marks, so I may try wiping my side windows and rear window (no wiper-VW Passat) with it but not the windsreen for the reasons mentioned above.
    The WD40 website has a whole list of really useful uses for this wonderful product (WD - stands for water dispersant, 40 for the number of formulations; this was the one that worked).
