Afternoon All :hello:

Just a quick hello as I'm clearing up from yesterday and getting ready for later - more family coming for leftover's.

Listening (and singing) to Westlife, Greatest Hits - pressie from DD. I'm on the 4th repeat of Flying Without Wings and DH seems to have disappeared to the other side of the house! You'de think he'd want to join in as you can put so much effort and emotion (and volume) into that song Still, each to their own

wow, where is everyone!.

Went for a walk today, it was very windy. That's about the excitement of the day

Saw the sales on tv, on the news, something about 5am queues to go into next........ i dont think i've ever been into next, will pop along to the website in a second, see what i'm missing out on

Don't have a car, and buses are not on today, so........ no bargains for people with no cars, or friends to give a lift into town.

Don't Primark have a sale after xmas? Can you imagine that :eek:

happy boxing day folks.
Was in town for mum bday so popped into M&S(to try and get more toffee and pecan cream liqure.Wow that stuff is yumme.None left though )
Managed to pick up 2 turkey crowns for £5 each(originally £27 quid each :eek:).Still good till 29th too.Must make room in the freezer.
Off to watch telly and drink the rest of that booze

illllllllll, full of cold, sore throat, feel like razors, chesty cough, toothache and what is worse, DH has a root canal due, so he is in a lot of pain, infection, etc and doesn't stop going on about how much pain he is in. he can't understand why I haven't had mine sorted after a year of pain... because I cannot afford it and I HATE having my teeth touched!

it always feels worse over christmas too doesn't it.

just make sure you stay in and wrap up warm and get plenty of rest if thats at all possible.

Our cold remedy if its any help to you. . . . .


Pour a Whiskey (any one will do) put a spoonful of honey and 6 cloves into it and pop it in the microwave for 30 seconds, squeeze a quarter of a lemon or a few drops of jif lemon into it and stir (add more honey if needed and heat again for 10 secs.

Take the drink (and notice there is no water added) and two paracetamol, when going to bed - it helps you sleep (d.s permitting) and also to sweat the germs out.
