    The retailer can offer a repair instead of replacement if they feel this is appropriate.

    Yes they can, but a chat with the manager is always worth having.

    We have had a few kettles from argos over the past 2 years, Another item they dont make like they used to.

    Mix of plastic and metals that all expand and contract at different rates means they leak quite often.
    Couldn't agree more and all those different designs of viewing windows for the water just ask fo leaks.
  • Several months back I bought a Russell Hobbs microwave from Argos. It stopped working after 6 months. I took the microwave to Argos and they replaced it with a new one. I'm guessing they will do the same thing for your case :)
