Just to let you know that my Winter Fuel Payment is in my bank account today.

My OH got a letter last week saying it was going in but not arrived yet.

I havent got my letter yet even though we have the same surname.

His initial is J, mine is A

How do they work out who they send out first, it obviously inst alphabetical

Got mine in my bank yesterday. My surname begins with 'M', and I was born in 1947.

national insurance number, the last lot of SP going out shortly.;)

what's SP?

My Ni number starts with YR and my surname begins with D but I haven't received mine yet so I have no idea how they determine the order!

SP = State pension, it is according to last lot of numbers on your NI. Can't remember if it is the last 3 or 2 that they use;)

Got mine last week,£200 but only addressed to me. Usually we get it separately. Told dh that it is all mine so bought a new telly. Pensioners eh, never had it so good. lol

I got mine as a cheque for some reason.

I opened the envelope and pulled out the letter and threw the envelope in the bin and read the letter. It said that a cheque was enclosed.

Usually cheques like that are attached to the letter but there was no cheque attached to the letter.

Frantic scrabble in the bin for the envelope and there was the cheque hiding in the envelope.

Years ago when I had a coal fire fire it would have been gone:eek:

And yet since I started getting the winter fuel allowance all these years ago it has always been paid into my bank account.

I wonder what changed this year?
